Stronger Network, Longer Life

Writer's picture: Dave AttwoodDave Attwood

Today Dave is driving back from the Swartz Bay ferry terminal in Victoria after dropping off Gaby and Julia for the day trip to Vancouver.

When discussing the science of longevity, Dave explains that the number one factor is having a diverse network of friends. The common thread between most centurions is having a wide and diverse network of friends.

This is one factor that we are completely in control of. This goes back to your mindset.

Making friends and maintaining that network does not take money or influence or privilege. It simply is putting in the effort to connect with people and maintain these networks thriving. This needs to be a lifetime endeavour.

You don't have to be a people pleaser or the centre of attention all the time. Be authentic, be yourself but get out there and put the work in. If someone is having a party at work, attend it.
